Learn exercises that use color and form to explore images and sensations that you experienced, to deepen new experiences, and to support your system to go in the direction that you choose.

This introduction to using art exploration to connect with the body's wisdom, or "felt sense" explains that no special ability is required to use art to explore your feelings. Try to tap into the sensation in your body, particularly in your torso, and let yourself use colour and shape to express what you feel.
Preparing for a healing therapeutic psychedelic journey
Use this simple drawing activity to relax and connect with yourself.
Use art to identify stressors and to clear space inside you so that you can connect to what is most important for you to focus on at this time
Integrating your journey
Mandalas provide a container for your experience
Sand Tray is another non verbal way to express yourself through images. The ideas and instructions in this video can be used with drawing, collage, sculpture, or any form of creative expression. It demonstrates how to represent your journey or part of your journey through art, and how to make meaning from the art.
This video provides questions that you can ask of yourself and the drawing to connect with and understand it better. It also contains specifuc suggestions for using art to integrate a difficult journey.
Please reach us at tpcounsellor@telus.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No art experience is needed!
Any art supplies will work. Even if you only have a pen or a pencil you can do these exercises, although it would be helpful to felt pens, colour, pastels, paints, magazine pictures for collage,or any supplies with colour.
Watch the introductory video about why and how to use art exploration first, and then choose any video from either the preparation section (if you haven’t done your journey yet) or integration section (if you’ve completed your journey, even if it was years ago). After you’ve completed an art exploration, watch the last video on “Questions to ask your drawing” to learn from your art. You can also watch “Integration with Sandtray” to see an example of how I integrated a part of a journey.
This web page is not intended to encourage psychedelic use or to educate you about it. This page aims to support people who have already engaged in a healing psychedelic journey or are already planning to. If you do wish to engage in psychedelic healing, it is important to ensure a safe and supportive “set” (mindset) and “setting” (physical and social circumstances) and to utilize the guidance of a well-trained psychedelic guide. There are many web pages available to get further information and that is not the purpose of this site
